QL-500 is a compact & light weight, save & cost effective , energy-saving & environmental friendly advanced hydrogen generator. It producing extremely pure hydrogen gas through the electrolysis of pure water without adding any alkaline . It can produce continuous / high purity H2 gas up to 500 ml/min with digital flow rate display, valve regulation and over-pressure safety protection. This generator is idea device to supply H2 gas for material processing, heat treatment and gas chromatography analysis, etc. in research laboratory instead of using heavy, expensive and unsafe hydrogen cylinder.
Operation Principle
Core technology of H2 generator is the SPE electrodes. Electrolytic water with resistivity >1M-ohm/ cm is put into the anode chamber of electrolytic cell. When power is switched on , water will be decomposed at the anode : 2H2 O = 4H+ +2O-2. The decomposed negative oxygen ion (O2) will immediately release electron to form oxygen (O2), which will then be discharged from the anode chamber with circulating water in the water tank, and oxygen will be discharged from the small hole of the top cover of the water tank into the atmosphere. The hydrogen proton, in the form of aqua ion (H+ ·XH2O) will go through SPE ion membrane and under the action of electric field force, and arrive in the cathode to absorb electron to form hydrogen ,which will then be discharged from the cathode chamber into the gas/water separator, where most of water it brought with from the electrolytic cell will be removed . Dry hydrogen gas will reach 99.999% purity via moisture absorption of the desiccators.
