Tungsten ( W ) Nanopowder General Description

A fine black powder composed of tungsten particles ranging from 40 to 100nm in diameter, tungsten nanopowder works as a material in an array of applications
including microelectronics, metalworking, chemical coatings, and more. The unique optical, electric, and medical applications of tungsten as a nanostructure
makes it a material of high interest to researchers and engineers in a variety of disciplines.

Tungsten ( W ) Nanopowder Applications

  •      •  Coatings. Coatings produced using tungsten nanoparticles offer a variety of benefits unique to the material. Electrochromic coatings, metal
  •         ceramic coatings, specialized coatings for optic applications, and other applications all benefit from the use of tungsten nanoparticles. Continued
  •         research into the special potential of tungsten nanocoatings promises additional insight.

  •      •  Microelectronics films. Tungsten nanoparticles offer unique benefits in the production of films for microelectronic applications.
The full potential of such films has yet to be thoroughly researched, but initial findings prove intriguing.

  •      •  Sintering additives. Tungsten nanoparticles have shown exceptional potential as a sintering additive, with research indicating nanopowder
will make traditionally difficult metallurgic processes much easier through proper application.

  •      •  Vacuum contactors and vacuum load switches. The unique traits of tungsten at nanoscale sizes makes it an ideal material for the manufacture
of vacuum contactors and vacuum load switches. Research into the full potential of tungsten in this role is still sparse, but early indications are positive.
