EQ-Die-12D-GP graphite die is good for dry pellet pressing ceramic material at high temperature up to 1000 ºC.

    •      •  One sleeve for core dies protection
    •      •  Two pushing rods highly polished to ensure a perfect fit in the die.
    •      •  One pressing pole for releasing the sample from die only.
    •      •  Max. Working temperature:
      •          º  399ºC in air
      •          º  > 400 ºC  need inert gas protection
    •      •  Max. sustainable pressure is 50Mpa (~0.6 ton applied on the die)
    •      •  The die is specifically designed for our Compact Hot Pellet Press to meet the high-temperature requirement


       Steps to make sample pellet


    •      •  Mixing and grinding chemical powder by agate mortar
    •      •  Calcine mixed the powder in a high temp furnace under suitable temperature
    •      •  Grinding calcined powder again by mortar
    •      •  Put calcined powder into the die
    •      •  Pressing sample by a pressing machine under suitable pressure
    •      •  Take out pellet sample from die
    •      •  Sintering the pellet under suitable temperature
    •      •  Then, a new material sample is formed!

       Cautions

    •      •  Please must always wear protection goggles during operation !!!
    •      •  The pressing die cannot be used for pressing powder with particle size < 30 microns. Small particles may
              slip into the gap between pushing rod and steel sleeve and cause damages to the sleeve during the
              compression. Ball mill and sieve the powder and apply only the 32~75 microns powder to the pressing die to
              avoid the damages. Please consider using the
       3'' Dia. Sieve Set No.200&450 Mesh to separate the 32~75
              microns particles from the powder clumps. Please clean the mould via ethanol after the completion of each
              experiment.

    •      •  Please use alcohol to clean the pressing die every time before use and store it in a dry place
